Shake door Cabinet

Inspired by the works of James Krenov this Sycamore cabinet has Brown Pippy Oak door panels. The drawers are weathered sycamore with Pippy Oak fronts and drawer pulls in sycamore. The Cabinet stands on a frame of Brown Oak.

The edges of the cabinet doors are made from a single piece of sycamore. At some point in the life of the tree the central section of the trunk split and over time this split produced bark on the internal faces of the tree. This internal defect is known as a shake.

Finished using blond Shellac, Oil and Beeswax.
